The countdown has begun by fans around the world who are eagerly awaiting the release of the 4th movie adaptation of the wildly popular Harry Potter books written by J.K. Rowlings.
Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire premiers in theatres on Friday, November 18 and promises to be as exciting as the previous three but as Rowlings has warned, perhaps the darkest Potter film yet. Indeed the Goblet of Fire has been given a PG-13 MPAA rating "for sequences of fantasy violence and frightening images".
The goblet of Fire sees Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermoine (Emma Watson) return to their fourth year of studies at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry after Harry experiences some rather disturbing visions concerning his nemesis, Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) during his final two weeks of summer vacation.
Hogwarts will announce to it's students that this semester will mark the return of the Triwizard Tournament which was dicontinued several hundred years ago. Hogwart's School will compete against two rival European wizardry schools - Durmstrang and Beauxbatons. One representative from each of the three schools will be determined by The Goblet of Fire. Harry of course is chosen to represent Hogwart's.
As well as training for the increasingly dangerous tournament levels, Harry, being a young warlock with a healthy interest in girls worries because he has yet to find a date for the Hogwart's Yule Ball dance.
Enter Cho Chang played by Katie Leung. Chang is introduced in The Goblet of Fire as Harry's new love interest. Also appearing for the first time in Goblet will be a paranoid wizard-catcher named Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody and Rita Skinner, a nosey hyperactive reporter for 'The Daily Prophet'.
A fifth movie, Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix is already in the works and will start filming in February 2006.
