The irony was not lost yesterday when it was revealed that the courts have requested the presence of one Michael Jackson yet again but this time, the law wants Jackson to perform his civic duty and serve on a jury.

A mere four months after being exonerated of child molestation charges in a trial that exposed Jackson to the world, a jury summons was delivered by regular mail to the King of Pop's Neverland Ranch. Jackson however was not in attendance at the ranch to receive his mail - he has taken up permanent residence in Bahrain, an island nation in the Arabian Gulf. Jackson's legal team will be submitting a deferment for that reason.

Jackson and his three children travelled to Bahrain shortly after he was aquitted and was a guest of Sheik Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, a close friend of Jackson's brother Jermaine. Jackson was so impressed with the area that it was reported in August that he had purchased a luxury mansion located just next door to his former host's palace.
