Titz’n Glitz Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Titz’n Glitz, the woman-only breast cancer fundraisier has released details of their annual fundraising event. 2005 also marks an exciting milestone - the organization's 10th anniversary. The breast cancer fundraiser began in Halifax in 1995 with 75 women, in the living room of founder Margo Kerr, and has since grown exponentially. Eight hundred women are expected to attend this year’s event.

This year's event is slated for Thursday, November 3 beginning at 7 PM. The event will be held at Pier 21, 1055 Marginal Road, Halifax. Tickets which are sold cash only, are $50.00 and can be purchased at C100, 2900 Agricola Street, Halifax, NS on Friday, October 28 from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM. If any tickets remain they will be offered for sale at the same location on Saturday, October 29 from 9 AM to noon.

Titz'n Glitz organizers describe the event on November 3rd as "a roller coaster ride of fun, emotion, art and camaraderie that encompasses everything from cocktails, eats and girl chat, to moving personal stories and a spectacular parade of costumes. Don't expect the usual because, like its name, Titz'n Glitz is anything but."
