One of Canada’s most popular radio personalities will start another chapter in his illustrious broadcast career this weekend. Easy Listening 94.7 Seaside-FM will be the brand new home for Frank Cameron this Saturday afternoon from noon until 3. Listen for more Como than Coasters, more Bennett than Beatles, Sinatra rather than the Stones – but it will be personality radio – a perfect fit for Frank. .
There’s a real good chance that Cameron just may play some of those same tunes he used spin in his early dj days on CKEC New Glasgow and on CHNS Halifax, dating back to the late fifties. Or, he may even air some tunes by those early Canadian musical heroes from his Frank’s Bandstand CBC days. And, on Seaside fm Frank will also have the opportunity to share the softer music from likes of Norah Jones, Michael Buble and the current crop of rising stars, including many of the finest from the East Coast.
Cameron will join an on air roster of fellow seasoned veterans and rookie announcers at SEASIDE-FM, a community radio station in it’s fourth year of operation. The volunteer broadcasters present primarily live programs seven days a week from Eastern Passage. Frank will no doubt relish the opportunity to share some of his artist encounters and rather interesting stories over the years. Talk about real radio with an authentic broadcast legend, starting this Saturday at twelve noon on 94.7 SEASIDE FM.
