 Nomination forms are now available for the Mayor’s Annual Cultural Awards.
The Awards include the following: -Mayor’s seventh Annual Award for Cultural Achievement in Literature -Mayor’s fourth Annual Award for Excellence in Book Illustration
-Mayor’s third Annual Award for Achievement in Theatre
-Mayor’s second Annual Award for Emerging Theatre Artist.
These annual awards feature a monetary prize of $500 for Emerging Theatre Artist and $1500 for each of the other three awards.
Recipients of the Book Illustration and Achievement in Literature awards will be honoured at the Atlantic Writing Awards ceremony at Alderney Landing Theatre on April 28, 2006.
Recipients of the Achievement in Theatre and Emerging Theatre Artist awards will be honoured at the Theatre Nova Scotia Merritt Awards, in March 2006 at Alderney Landing Theatre, Dartmouth.
Deadline for nomination submissions is Friday, December 2, 2005 at 12 noon.
