Name of Product: Bounce Bounce Baby! Door Jumpers Distributor: Kids II Inc., of Alpharetta, Ga.
Hazard: The plastic clamp that attaches the jumper seat to a door frame can break, which can cause the unit to fall to the floor. This poses an injury hazard to young children.
Incidents/Injuries: Kids II has received 9 reports of the clamp breaking with 3 reports of bruises.
Description: The recalled baby jumpers have a blue canvas seat, blue straps, and a blue plastic clamp that attaches to an interior door frame. The recalled unit is the Bounce Bounce Baby! Door Jumper model number 6753. The model number can be found on a white warning label on the canvas seat. The name "Kids II" is printed on the plastic housing that contains the clamp. Model 67531 Door Jumpers that have a metal clamp are not subject to this recall. Sold at: Mass merchandise and juvenile specialty stores nationwide from January 2005 to the present for about $20.00 USD; $35.00 CAD. Manufactured in: China. Remedy: Consumers should stop using the product immediately and disable the jumper by cutting a one-inch portion of the blue strap just below the clamp. To receive a free replacement product, consumers should cut out the white warning label from the canvas seat and mail the label and the one-inch portion of the blue strap to Kids II at 555 North Point Center East, Suite 600, Alpharetta, GA 30022.
