Friday, 06 January 2006
As a safety precaution, Crystal Clear Industries, in cooperation with Sobeys Inc., has announced a voluntary recall of Celebration Brand Tea Light Candle Sets due to a potential fire hazard.
These candles were sold in Sobeys stores in Atlantic Provinces only (NS, NB, PEI, NL) from October 2005 to January 2006.

The tea light candles, if allowed to burn completely down, can produce a high flame (flare up), melt the plastic or crack the frosted glass holders.

The tea light candles come in a plastic holder in a frost glass container with "Celebration" printed on the box. The sets are comprised of:
  • A three (3) candle set in frosted glass containers spelling "Joy", UPC 4411723290
  • A Four (4) candle set in frosted glass containers spelling "Noel", UPC 4411723291
  • A five (5) candle set in frosted glass containers spelling "Peace", UPC 4411722293
Consumers are advised to stop using the Celebration Tea Light Candle Sets immediately and to return them to their nearest Sobeys store for a full refund.
