Members of the Legislative Assembly today, March 3, unanimously elected Cecil Clarke as Speaker of the House of Assembly.

Also today, Captain Kenneth Greenham of Millwood, in Halifax Regional Municipality, is the new sergeant-at-arms of the Nova Scotia House of Assembly. An all-party committee and the former Speaker of the House of Assembly, Murray Scott, were involved in the interview and selection process. Capt. Greenham's career in the Canadian Armed Forces, the Reserves and Corps of Commissionaires spans more than 48 years. For the last five years, he has been detail commander of the commissionaires employed at Province House. |
