Lung Cancer Claims The Life of Dana Reeve |

 The Christopher Reeve Foundation has announced the death of Dana Reeve, wife of the late actor Christopher Reeve. In August of 2005 Ms. Reeve said in a statement that she had been recently diagnosed with lung cancer and was pursuing aggressive treatment. She was not a smoker.
Born Dana Morosini in 1961, Ms. Reeve who was an actor and singer married Christopher Reeve in 1992. She became best known however following a tragic accident three years later when her husband was paralyzed after falling from a horse during a jumping competition.
Reeve and her husband became prominent activists for spinal paralysis research, the rights of disabled persons and stem cell research. The couple founded and chaired the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation which acts to improve the health and well-being of people living with paralysis. Reeve died on Monday. She was 44. |
