Pamela Anderson One of Eight To Get A Star on Canada's Walk of Fame Print E-mail

Canada's Walk of Fame along with CTV announced on Wednesday the names of eight Canadians to be honoured with a star on the Walk of Fame located on the sidewalks of Toronto's entertainment district. This year's event marks the ninth annual event which began in 1998.

The 2006 Inductees for Canada's Walk of fame are:

-Pamela Anderson - actor, entertainment industry; Anderson was the first baby born on Canada's 100th birthday in 1967 and was named Canada's Centennial Baby

-Jann Arden - award winning recording artist

-The Crazy Canucks - Ken Read, Steve Podborski, Dave Irwin and Dave Murray were downhill skiing phenoms in the 1980s

-Brendan Fraser - actor, entertainment industry

-Robert Goulet - multiple award-winning recording artist

-Eugene Levy - award-winning actor, writer, director and comedian

-Paul Shaffer - best known as David Letterman's musical director and sidekick

-Alex Trebek - multiple Daytime Emmy Award-winning host of Jeopardy

The Tribute Gala will be broadcast from Toronto's Hummingbird Centre on Saturday, June 3.
