Suspected Arsonist Operating in Shirley Street Area of Halifax Print E-mail
Written by PSA
Friday, 08 September 2006
Fire investigators have determined that arson was the cause of a number of recent fires in the Shirley Street area of Halifax.

Several green bin fires have occurred in the area and several false alarms have also been called in. As a result, Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency Services urges residents to be mindful of any suspicious persons observed in their neighbourhood in the early morning hours and to contact police immediately.

Residents are asked to be diligent in keeping their green bins and other combustible materials away from their houses and off the street. They should also keep their yards free of debris and other combustible materials.
