Conservative Party Set To Appoint New Executive Print E-mail
Written by Staff

The rumour mill is churning today with chatter that has the national wing of the Conservative Party of Canada replacing the entire executive of Cumberland-Colchester-Musquodoboit Valley Conservative Association, after voting in favour of keeping former Conservative MP Bill Casey as their representative in the next federal election.

Prime Minister Harper made it clear last week that MP Casey will not represent the Conservatives in the next federal election.

Halifax Live has also received info that suggests Prime Minister Harper also has plans to appoint a candidate for the riding, if need be.

Independent MP Bill Casey was expelled from the Conservative caucus earlier this year for voting against his former government's budget.
