eBay Auction Halted After 'Halifax Live' Mentioned Print E-mail
Written by Media Release
Thursday, 15 December 2005
Personal Chef Karin Winkler placed the Holy Potato auction Sunday on eBay and it was pulled off Monday by eBay after she placed an email communication with Golden Palace Casino in Canada on the item's auction page. Ebay informed Winkler that because she mentioned well known media names like "Halifax Live" in her ad, the listing was removed. This forced her to make changes in the listing and to relist the item.

Winkler, who cut a potato in half and the miraculous image of a perfectly shaped holy cross appeared, introduced The Holy Potato to the world in form of a little web site and it received an astonishing 40,000 visits since it's introduction about a week ago. The Holy Potato is already widely published in the local, national and international media, as well as discussed on many blog sites, threads, groups, announcements all around cyber world.

Winkler says: "We want that the right person can own this piece of a true miracle this holiday season and be very happy this Christmas."
