A
recent press release from the Peter Mancini campaign team
may suggest the race for the nomination for the federal
riding of Dartmouth-Cole Harbour could be a "Shoe-In".
The release, announcing Mancini's
bid for the nomination was sent though a third party email
address, however, the headers clearly indicate the email
originated from a Nova Scotia government computer IP address,
a machine of the provincial NDP. On the surface, it appears
to indicate an attempt to hide that fact. The sender of
the email is listed on the government employee list as
a Researcher (ndp Officer), Paul Black.
This may come as a surprise to the
other candidates seeking the nomination who do not have
access to the media list of the NDP caucus. Does the shoe
fit?
Mike Flemming, who is also seeking
the nomination told Halifax Live that he doesn't feel
Mancini has an advantage over him. However, Flemming does
have one concern, he feels it would be inappropriate if
Paul Black, Mancini's campaign manager was working on
Mancini's campaign during NDP caucus time. The official
Mancini nomination news release was sent at 1:59 PM Friday,
Jan. 09.
