March, 16, 2004
Belinda Stronach added two more prominent
Nova Scotian politicians to her endorsement list today.
Most notable, Elmer MacKay, father of Peter MacKay, former
Progressive Conservative leader, and one of the architects
of the conservative merger.
"Belinda brings excitement and enthusiasm
to the Conservative Party. It's time for the Conservatives
to form government again. We need Belinda to take on the
Martin-Chretien gang in the next election", said
Elmer MacKay.
Elmer MacKay served served as solicitor
general in Brian Mulroney's Tory government during the
mid-eighties.
Belinda also added Murray Scott, Speaker
of the Nova Scotia House
of Assembly to her list of supporters in Nova scotia.
"Belinda has consistently expressed
her commitment to job creation and
economic growth," said Mr. Scott. "I am confident
that she can win the next election, and that Nova Scotia's
economy will benefit with Belinda as Prime Minister."
